loha! Just a few words about me personally, I married my husband, Baron Birtcher in 1992 on the island of Kauai, Hawaii. Baron is a mystery author and is currently at work on his fifth novel. For more information, visit www.baronbirtcher.com.
My husband and I have lived in Hawaii since 1996. We make our home in upcountry Kailua Kona and overlook the ever beautiful Kailua Bay and old Kailua Town.
I am the proud mom of two longhaired miniature dachshunds, and (a new addition), our Siamese cat, Bella. They are a constant source of amusement, laughter and joy to us both.
We also have 3 grown real children, Allegra, Raider and Britton who attend college on the mainland.
Some of my hobbies include watching football, gardening, travel and enjoying good company with fine wine and food. A benefit of being the daughter of an Italian immigrant is having been taught the recipes handed down to my mother from generations past. I enjoy cooking and sharing these recipes with friends and family.
Personal Sentiments...
Having been fortunate to have been able to travel most of my life, and to have lived for a time in both Italy and France, I have experienced the rhythm and lifestyles of many different countries. I try to incorporate those experiences, and those of my clients, into their homes. It is so interesting to walk into an individual’s home and get a sense of the experiences and reflections of other cultures, selectively interspersed throughout their home, in a unique expression of their individuality. When rounding out these experiences I try to encourage my clients to discuss when and where they were when coming upon a particular piece purchased in a far away land, as these make interesting conversations when entertaining and are great ice-breakers.
As for me, interior design is a wonderful outlet for creativity. I have always been fascinated with art and architecture. When selecting and coordinating fabrics, balancing furnishings or rearrangement, it is like working on a three-dimensional blank canvas just waiting to be brought to reality!
I thoroughly enjoy my work and love what I do. I do not consider myself as having my own personal “style” or working with a “trend.” Instead, I prefer my work to be timeless, distinctive and as original and individual as my clients are. My style is developed by each and every client I work with, and becomes a reflection of theirs. I try to do my very best to make something wonderful happen in your home. If you are happy, I am happy. I like beauty and beautiful things, and it is truly wonderful when you can help create this for people, knowing they will always appreciate and enjoy it!
